Ever since I recieved this as a wedding gift it has been an important tool in my kitchen.  This cookbook covers all the staple recipes and more updated versions of traditional dishes.  One of my favorite aspects is the substitution chart.  If you are out of an ingredient it lists out something comparable and how to much to use to make the recipe work.  Definately helpful in a pinch!

Tini Tip:  Leave a note in the front flap to the newly weds to add a personal touch.  Bookmark a couple of your favorite recipes for the new couple to start with!
